University of Queensland

The University of Queensland has been providing a distance education program in Sports Medicine. This has been run to provide a Graduate Diploma as well as a Master's Degree.

Recent discussions with UQ have been initiated so that the availability of a Master's degree stay as an option for Doctors who want special training and qualifications in Sports Medicine. The demise of the Master's degree from UNSW has been a major concern for our group.

Discussions with UQ have proven very helpful in looking at options for doctors who want to improve their skills. Obviously, we are keen to look for options for doctors at varying levels of expertise.

Discussions with UQ have coincided with discussions with the RACGP concerning the development of our involvement in the Faculty of Specific Interest. This has lead to a very fruitfull relationship between the three groups. To find out more about the RACGP relationship, read more...
