2010 Conference of Science and Medicine in Sport
Port Douglas - 4-6 November 2010

The next Conference of Science in Sport is to be held in Port Douglas in November. This conference is a smaller conference, held in the beautiful Port Douglas. The program is being developed currently and is set to be an excellent mix of clinical information, science in sport, preventative streams and population health issues related to exercise.

The 'smaller' conference always proves to have an excellent mix of science and social events.

As always, your SDrA committee will be organising and assisting in the provision of excellent sports medicine presentations and workshops. Our popular Sports Medicine Emergency Care Course will be presented at the conference.

Remember that the SDrA dinner is an excellent time to meet your committee and discuss the activities of SDrA as well as providing a great social and networking night .

2009 Conference of Science and Medicine in Sport
Brisbane - 14th -17th October 2010

At last year's conference, there was an excellent mix or material to please and inform every attendee.

SDrA provided an excellent clinical education component to the conference. Our keynote speaker, Dr Lyle Micheli, from Boston, came with excellent credentials and informative talks. He presented very intereesting information concerning paediatric orthopaedics.

A mixed clinical afternoon, combined SDrA, Sports Physicians and Sports Physiotherapists in a clinically provocative mix of presentations, panel discussion and case presentations.

SDrA provided our well rspected Sports Medicine Emergency Care Course. This was extremely well received. This workshop fulfills RACGP requirements for 40 group 1 points. It also qualifies for procedural training grants with the RACGP.

Sports Medicine Emergency Care Course

SDrA Has been presenting this course for a number of years. Below are from images from the Fiji conference in 2006.

SDrA would like thank all the participants and presenters at this course.
