Member Information
Sports Doctors Australia is an organisation that represents a wide range of medical practitioners who have an involvement in the care of our sporting community. Our members come from a unique base of Doctors who care for sporting people of all ages and levels from weekend warriors to elite individuals and teams that represent Australia internationally. Whilst our membership is made up of a high proportion of General Practitioners, we also have members who are radiologists, surgeons, emergency medicine doctors and other specialties.
Becoming a member of Sports Doctors Australia provides many benefits. As we forge closer ties with the RACGP, we believe that the benefits of membership will improve even further.
Becoming a Member
It is an easy process to become a member. We have a belief that our organisation should be inclusive rather than excluse. Our consitution allows for membership of any medical prctitioner who has a medical degree that is registerable in a State or Territory of Australia. Ordinary members do not need to have any post graduate qualifications in Sports Medicine.
Currently, membership of SDrA is a joint membership with Sports Medicine Australia. This relationship is an excellent one and adds another layer of benefit for members.
